Final Exam Critique
Your final exam will be 3 parts, completing your digital portfolio and an oral exam.
Digital Portfolio - 100 pts each for Concentration Page and Top 10
You will be graded on having all projects with labels and artist statements in your digital portfolio.
You will also need to create a curated page of your top 10 pieces out of everything you have made so far in your HS art career. It should be under your portfolio tab and clearly labeled.

Oral Exam Critique-100 pts
Each of you will participate in a final critique by presenting your digital portfolio to the class and leading the discussion about your piece. You will also need to give constructive feedback about other students’ work. You will receive up to 100 pts for your presentation and you will be scored based on the oral final rubric. Your presentation of your piece should touch upon each of the following points:
For your concentration projects this semester:
Tell about coming up with the idea for the concentration. How did it evolve through multiple artworks?
What would you do differently if you had to do it again?
What did you learn from this concentration? How will it affect the way you approach projects/art-making in the future?
Tell about a breakthrough or an ah-ha moment you had in your art-making process.
Best Work Overall:
Which project gets your feeling or idea across the best? How did you use the elements and principles to create this feeling?
Which project shows off your creativity the most? Why?
What criteria did you use to select your best work?
What piece allowed you to express yourself the most? Why?
How do you come up with your ideas and inspiration?
What do you want to say with your artwork?
How does your artwork show your unique perspective?
What can we learn about you from your artwork?
How have you grown as an artist or a person this semester?

- Artist statements are thorough and reflective and give insights into the artist's ideas and process. The statement compels the audience to look at the work and gives it the background information for the audience to appreciate it more than just seeing the work alone.
