Final Exam Critique
Your final exam will be 2 parts, completing your digital portfolio and an oral exam.
Digital Portfolio - 100 pts
You will be graded on having all projects with labels and artist statements in your digital portfolio. Click here if you need instructions about how to complete or format your digital portfolio pieces. All pieces need to be in your portfolio by the end of the day on Wednesday December 12th. Your portfolio will be graded on the following scale:

Oral Exam Critique-100 pts
Each of you will participate in a final critique by presenting your digital portfolio to the class and leading the discussion about your piece. You will also need to give constructive feedback about other students’ work. You will receive up to 100 pts for your presentation and you will be scored based on the oral final rubric. Your presentation of your piece should touch upon each of the following points:
For each project:
Do you think the project was successful? Why or why not?
What would you do differently if you had to do it again?
What did you learn from this piece? How will it affect the way you approach projects/art-making in the future?
Overall:
Which project gets your feeling or idea across the best? How did you use the elements and principles to create this feeling?
Which project shows off your creativity the most? Why?
Which artistic behavior was your biggest strength? Why?
Which artistic behavior was your biggest weakness? How are you going to improve this skill in future classes?

- Artist statements are thorough and reflective and give insights into the artist's ideas and process. The statement compels the audience to look at the work and gives it the background information for the audience to appreciate it more than just seeing the work alone.
- Photos are of good quality and labels and formatting are well designed.
- Artist statements give insights into the artist's ideas and process. The statement gives the work the background information needed for the audience to understand it.
- Photos are of good quality and labels and formatting are consistent
- Artist statements give some insights into the artists ideas and process or are inconsistent
- Photos are somewhat lacking in quality and there are some labeling or formatting errors
- Artist statements are very inconsistent or poorly written. Some statements may be missing.
- Photos are of poor quality and little effort was made to format properly
