Project 3: WaterColor
For this project you will be creating a watercolor painting on paper. How you approach this project is up to you. By giving you the freedom to choose your own project, you won't be forced to work on anything you aren't excited about, but you must put in the work to come up with a quality idea that does interest you. You should have all of the brainstorming and planning steps complete and ready to start building your project by the time you finish your practice exercises. Your project should take approximately 3.5 weeks to plan and paint.
LEARNING TARGETS:
- I can use the artistic process to come up with an idea to make a watercolor painting based on a theme I have investigated.
- I can use my knowledge of watercolor painting techniques to create a painting using at least 3 techniques.
- I can explain the steps in writing and execute watercolor techniques.

How to Select a Great Idea for your Art Project
Remember you want your audience to FEEL something when they look at your painting. Think about how the textures you choose will affect the mood.
