For this project, you will be creating a typography poster design. The words that you use are your choice. They could be lyrics, quotes, or any text or writing that you choose. Remember that any sources you take writing from should be properly credited. Your design should choose a type style and colors that express the feeling or message behind the words that you choose. Remember to use what you have learned about the elements and principles of design and layout to make a great poster. You may use images in your piece but the type should be the emphasis.

plan
For your brainstorming, collect words that you would like to use. Decide what mood or feeling your words should express (you should be able to narrow this down to two or three words) and search for inspiration images that successfully pull off that style. Begin to collect typefaces, colors, and styles that match your style. Make a decision about which direction you should go and write your brainstorming post.
Plan example layouts and experiment with color, typeface and style. You should have at least 5 practice layouts before you draw a final sketch.
Critique your sketches with a partner, and make improvements based on the feedback you receive.

Step 3: Begin to create
Start working on your project in Illustrator. If you get stuck go back to the tutorials and try to problem solve. Make a Begin to Create post showing your progress partway through the piece. When you are ready for feedback, get with a partner and complete Peer Critique 2.
Step 4: Revise and Refine
Make changes based on your partner's feedback. Write a Revise and Refine blog post detailing how you improved your piece.
Step 5: Polish and Present
